Follow the easy steps below and take a design idea about New Year card.

Step 1
At first open a new document on Adobe Illustrator 1000px by 1000px. Then draw a background using Rectangle tool and use gradient color like below image.
Step 2
Apply for light effect on background New Year card. Select star tools and press ctrl from keyboard and draw a shape like below image.

Now create a star, using star tool and fill color like below image.
Step 4
Now copy this star shape using command transform > scale. And reset window and color like below image 1 and 2.

Apply blend option. Using command (for set blend option) object > blend >blend option. Then apply command object > blend > make. See below image 1 and 2.

Apply 3D effect using command Effect > 3D > Extrude Bevel. Reset this window like below image 1, 2 and 3. Copy this 3D star.

Now create 4 round shape using Ellipse tool and write 2013 using type tool, like below image 1 and 2.

Now create a Balloon shape using command windows > symbols like below image1 and 2.

Save this file PSD format and open it Adobe Photoshop.

Select type tool and write Happy “New Year” top new layer and use warp text effect like below image 1 and 2.

Apply those layer style Pattern overlay, Bevel and embossand outer glow. All windows reset like below image1, 2 and 3.

Take a new layer top of background layer. Fill this layer solid color like below image.

Apply Add noise using command Effect > Noise > Add noise. See below image.
Step 14
Apply another effect motion blur. Using command Effect > Blur > Motion Blur. See below image.

Now reset layer mode, overlay from layer pallet.
